Stop waiting to be discovered. Learn how to pitch yourself to the media.

April 9, 2026. 1 PM EST ‍

A free 1-hour live workshop for founders, freelancers, and experts who know their story deserves a bigger audience.

Who this is for

You're an expert in your field. You know your story is worth telling. But the world of media feels like a closed door, you don't know who to pitch, what to say, or why any editor would care. I created this workshop to change that.

What you’ll learn

  • How to turn your specific expertise into stories editors actually want to run

  • The exact process for getting a story placed in a publication, step by step

  • What editors and journalists are really looking for — and how to give it to them

You'll leave with pitch ideas ready to send. There's also live brainstorming and real-time feedback where you’ll learn the framework and apply it before the hour is over.

What past attendees say

“This 1-hour workshop saved me hours and hours of research time, and I definitely would not have gotten the same confidence and insight just researching on my own. It was so refreshing to be in a small group led by Leeron to not only learn, but also to brainstorm PR strategies in real-time.”

—Olivia Juarez

Before working with Leeron, I submitted 15 pitches and heard back from zero. Once I followed Leeron's direction, I received replies on my first and second pitches—amazing! I only wish I had worked with her sooner.

— Gina Schatz, founder of the Schatz Method

“In under an hour, I left Leeron's webinar with practical tips and valuable insights for pitching the media that I was able to immediately implement. A great resource for creatives, freelancers, and SMB owners!”

—Hunter Gardner

“Leeron knows what she’s talking about. She not only helps you understand what news publications are looking for, but she gives you time to brainstorm pitch ideas AND gives you real time feedback. I had NO IDEA where to begin before I took your webinar. And now look at me! She’s amazing and this workshop will give you the confidence you need to pitch yourself to news publications.”

About me: My name is Leeron and for the past 10 years, I’ve been a writer for online publications. I’ve been published in places like Salon, Quartz, Slate, the Village Voice, the Observer, Popular Science, Business Insider, Popular Mechanics, Apartment Therapy and many more.

Along the way, I learned a lot about how the media works. Which stories get attention? What kinds of stories are editors looking for? What makes an editor get back to your story idea within 7 minutes and say YES? So I’m sharing what I’ve learned with entrepreneurs who want publicity to reach — and help — more people.

  • Yes, I’ll be sending out a recording of the workshop to everyone who registered after the workshop.

  • Publications need new story ideas all the time, every single day. Editors are constantly looking for new perspectives and ideas. Plus, they want insight from people who are specifically not professional writers. If you can articulate a clear, thoughtful idea that explains why you are the person to write it, chances are there’s a publication out there that would be interested in publishing it.

  • Reach out to me at leeron@leeronhoory.com and I’ll get back to you.
